Volunteers are love in motion.

20160323_111158We dedicate this blog to late Mrs. Audrey Dorothy Collins. As a trained nurse, she served Hospice in Sedgefield practicing her nursing to the patients until a head nurse was appointed.  She worked in the Hospice shop where she enjoyed the camaraderie of her fellow volunteers.  She helped with the organizing of various fundraising events such as jumble sales, cake & book sales, etc to quote Audrey “Raising money can be a lot of fun”. She was well-known to the local businesses in Sedgefield as she placed all of the fundraising tins in the shops, etc.  and collected them once they were full.   She also made soup regularly for the day care patients.  We salute her and are grateful for the many years she served Hospice as a volunteer and the difference she has made in the many lives she has touched with her warm smile and gentleness.  We would like to send our condolences to her husband Bill and the family, she will sorely be missed by all at Knysna-Sedgefield Hospice.
