Volunteers and regular incoming finances are vital to the ongoing work of Hospice.
Volunteers form the backbone of Hospice Knysna. Listed below are only a
few of many options of how you can become involved. If you would like to know more
about any of these, please email us your personal details and we will contact you.
Thank you for your interest in the work Hospice does.
PATIENT AND FAMILY CARE
Direct contact with patients and families. Hospice training is provided.
COMMUNITY EVENTS AND LOCAL FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
A committee has been formed to co-ordinate fundraising events and project
management in the community.
TRAINING
With the increased need for in-house training a nursing tutor is priority, trainers
with relevant experience, are also essential.
FINANCE
Should you wish to contribute financially to Hospice there are 3 options:
Donation - at your discretion
Membership - "A Friend of Hospice"
Single persons R 30.00 per annum
Couples R 40.00 per annum
Business/Partnership R100.00 per annum
Life Membership R250.00
Join the Donor Club and stand a winning chance
Monthly contributions of R50.00 per unit are made by monthly stop order or credit card
payment to the Donor Club. 50% of this goes toward the prize pool and the
50% balance towards the running costs of Hospice. As the prize pool gets fuller
so the winnings increase - draws are held quarterly, so the more units taken, the
more the chances of winning increase. Please contact Barry Giggins on 387 1303
or Leonie van Jaarsveldt 384 0593 for your application form and draw number
