Unlike last year the weather turned against us, despite positive long range forecasts. Nevertheless all the commercial participants turned up. The weather also affected the attendance of "old" cars as owners were not too keen on getting their cars wet.
The attendance was reasonable but from experience many folk arrive around lunch time and early afternoon BUT the rain came at mid day which put then off. Nevertheless the dealers were able to generate interest with some concluding sales on the day!
On the finance side R 28,500, after expenses, was raised for Hospice and other local charities - this would have been higher had the weather played its part!
All agreed the venue was a vast improvement and will attend in 2007.
